About Us

Covenant Reformed Church is a group of families and individuals united by a common faith in the triune God, who by His decree and provision has given us salvation. We are part of a larger body called the Reformed Church of the United States which is founded on the inspired, infallible, and inerrant word of God; the Bible.

The roots of this faith are planted in the protestant reformation, particularly in the Geneva work of John Calvin from 1536 - 1564, and the Zurich Reformation of Huldrich Zwingli between 1518 and 1541. A branch of those roots was planted in the Palatinate in Germany in 1563 by elector Frederick the pious who set up a seminary and schools as well as churches to teach his people God's word. The Heidelberg Catechism was the result of the study and teaching and it became the subordinate standard of the church. A branch of that came to the North American continent in 1724 formally, in Philadelphia, PA and it grew there. And we are its fruit.
